One mom is documenting the “weirdest experience” she’s ever had at Disneyland.

Kat Pond, who has a TikTok account for her family called @ThePondss, shared a video in which she described a “crazy” interaction with a character at Disneyland.

In her August 26 post, Pond claims that while a character surprised her by tapping her sleeping baby’s head while she was in her wearable carrier.

At the start of the clip, Pond, who visits the parks "multiple times a week," explained that while her husband went to check out some of the park's rides, she sat in a restaurant area as her 11-month-old baby napped “chest to chest with me, dead asleep in her carrier.”

As she sat at a table alone for 20 minutes on her phone, Pond claimed that “all of a sudden somebody reaches over me and taps my sleeping baby.”

The mom described the confusing situation, saying that her baby immediately woke up.

“I turn around and I’m ready to be mad and it’s a Disney character, and I’m like ‘what is happening?’ like I was just so shocked by the whole experience.” She did not disclose which character it was.

Pond recalled asserting to the character, “She was asleep,” to which the character allegedly responded, “Oh, it looks like princess is awake now.”

The content creator recounted the character proceeding to try to play peek-a-boo with her “barely awake, groggy” baby. “I’m annoyed, my baby’s annoyed,” she added.

As she continued the story, Pond said she should have told the character to go away, but she was too "shocked" to protest. She then alleged that the character continued trying to talk to her and asked, “Don’t you want a photo with me?”

Since her baby was starting to “fuss,” Pond said she took a picture with the character since she just “wanted this experience to be over so badly.”

“It made [my baby] so grumpy that we couldn’t get her to be chill because she didn’t get a good nap and we ended up having to leave for the day,” she said at the end of the TikTok.

Some commenters on the post speculated if perhaps the character wasn't a real Disney cast member but a fellow park-goer in cosplay. (Adults over 14 are not allowed to wear Disney costumes in the parks.) Pond responded, “She was real & had an escort near by!!!”

In the comment section, she told followers that she ended up reaching out to Disney. "They said they would investigate it and get back to me! I’ll let you guys know when i have an update," she wrote on Tuesday, August 27.

PEOPLE reached out to a representative for Disney and to Pond for comment, but did not immediately hear back.
