We know that getting to New York City for an historic Outlander panel isn’t as easy as traveling through the stones. So, good news: We’re bringing the panel to you.
On Friday, The Paley Center for Media released a full video of the Starz drama’s 10th anniversary celebration, held in October as part of PaleyFest 2024. The event gathered series stars Caitríona Balfe, Sam Heughan, Sophie Skelton, John Bell and Richard Rankin, as well as co-showrunner Maril Davis, for a conversation moderated by yours truly.

The energy in the room was fantastic, thanks to the Outlander folks’ rousing commentary and the palpable enthusiasm of the fans in attendance. We looked back and talked about some of your favorite scenes. (The print shop! Jamie and Brianna’s first meeting!) We looked forward and previewed the upcoming Season 7, Part 2, which gets underway on Friday, Nov. 22, at 8/7c. (The return to Lallybroch!) We talked about the final season, which had pretty much wrapped by the time of the panel.
There were laughs, there were (so many) tears, there was Ranking pretending to ride one of the chairs like a runaway wagon. Something for everyone!
The eight episodes left in Season 7 will find Claire, Jamie and Young Ian returning to Scotland, where — per the official synopsis — “the perils of the Revolutionary War force them to choose between standing by those they love and fighting for the land they have made their new home.” While that’s going on, Roger and Brianna “face new enemies across time, and must battle the forces that threaten to pull their family apart.”
Press PLAY on the video above to watch the Outlander gang wax nostalgic about their show, then hit the comments with your thoughts!
