Gayle King, 69, Boldly Declares 'TMI' Bedroom Habit

Gayle King recently opened up about a personal preference when it comes to how she sleeps, and fans were surprised the news personality was willing to share such intimate details on live TV.

While visiting The Drew Barrymore Show on Thursday, Nov. 14, the CBS Mornings star revealed what she likes to wear to bed, expressing that traditional pajamas aren't really her thing.

"I always sleep in a big old ratty T-shirt but I don't like wearing underwear," the journalist told talk show host Drew Barrymore. "Because I like to feel the breeze down there. At night, I do."

The admission caused the Charlie's Angels actress to burst into laughter, as she threw her head back, seemingly in disbelief.

Although comical, Barrymore had to agree, explaining that she has provided similar advice to her daughters, Olive, 12, and Frankie, 10. "I used to say to the girls—they'll be so horrified by this—but I was like, 'You must let it breathe,'" she admitted.

The 50 First Dates star continued: "'Let's take a breathing break. With those diapers on you all the time? Nuh-uh. We're just gonna go on a walkabout and whatever happens happens.' And yes, women should feel the breeze."

The mom of two further expressed how she handles going commando at the current stage of her life while she's actively parenting. "Here's how I roll: if no one's in the house, including the kids—they go and stay at their dad's for the night—I will sleep in the nude."

"I love it," she added of the freeing feeling. "I lock all the doors and I just parade around like a little jaybird."

After the episode, a video clip of the broadcast was shared via Decider's Instagram account, where viewers chimed in with their own opinions on the topic in the comment section.

According to two separate social media users, the confession was "Tmi" (too much information) and "Way too much. Inappropriate," but there are bound to be several other people out there who can relate to the transparent conversation—just ask the experts, who swear by the practice of sleeping nude.
