Singers Miley Cyrus, 27, and Cody Simpson, 23, have reportedly called time on their relationship after 10 months together, with the news coming just hours before Miley released new music.
The pair split ‘within the last few weeks,’ according to multiple outlets, although the cause behind the breakup isn’t yet clear and neither has commented publicly.
Miley and Cody got together in October last year after the “Nothing Breaks Like A Heart” hit-maker ended things with Kaitlynn Carter, who she coupled up with soon after her shock divorce from actor Liam Hemsworth.
The musical duo was hot and heavy from the get-go, sharing saucy snaps of themselves canoodling on their respective Instagram accounts. In one pic Cody posted just a month into their relationship, the shirtless Aussie star — who won the inaugural season of The Masked Singer — is seen embracing a lingerie-clad Miley.
The couple also celebrated their love early on by getting inked together and while their tattoos were not matching they were certainly in sync.
The “Surfboard” singer and poet appears to have shared his last photo of Miley back in April, while the last evidence of Cody on Miley’s account dates back to November 2019.
Miley’s feed has most recently been filled with promotional photos and videos for her upcoming single, “Midnight Sky” which was released on August 14.
Days before the track dropped, she shared a message that, upon reflection, could be seen as a hint at her recent heartbreak.
“Forever and ever no more. The #MidnightSky is the road I’m taking.... head high up in the clouds,” she wrote.
