Melissa Gilbert Reacts To Megyn Kelly's 'Little House on the Prairie' Comments
Melissa Gilbert is setting the record straight.
After Megyn Kelly spoke out to make a bold request for the new Little House on the Prairie reboot, the actress from the original series issued a stern response to deliver a crystal-clear message.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter) after Netflix greenlit the reboot, Kelly wrote, "@Netflix if you wokeify Little House on the Prairie I will make it my singular mission to absolutely ruin your project."

In response, Gilbert—who played Laura Ingalls on the beloved '70s Western drama series—took to the social media platform Threads to clap back at Kelly's post.
"Apparently Megyn tweeted (I'm not on that platform) asking that Netflix not 'woke-ify' their Little House remake," Gilbert, 60, wrote in her unapologetic message.
"Ummm...watch the original again," the actress continued. "TV doesn't get too much more 'woke' than we did. We tackled: racism, addiction, nativism, antisemitism, misogyny, rape, spousal abuse and every other 'woke' topic you can think of."
"Thank you very much," she concluded the post, while tagging Kelly's Instagram account and imploring her, "watch any episode on any streaming platform anywhere in the world."
"Spot on and what a great comeback," one of Gilbert's fans wrote in reply.
"Thank you for speaking up, Melissa!" another user wrote to the actress, while someone else said Little House on the Prairie was a "huge contributing factor to why I am woke today."
