MasterChef fans shocked over judge's age: 'Good lord!'

MasterChef Australia fans were left shocked after finding out new judge Jean-Christophe Novelli is in his 60s.

With some fans admitting they thought the celebrity chef couldn't do maths after he said he had been in the industry for nearly 50 years, things made sense when people learned the French chef is indeed 63, with some fans begging to know his skincare routine.

In a Reddit thread, one commentator wrote: "Good lord what is Jean-Christophe’s skin routine? The man is 63! Is it a daily butter bath?"

Others flocked to the comments to agree that the new judge is ageing like a fine wine. "He’s got 4 stars in being good looking," one person said. "63!!! Good grief! I just thought his maths was bad when he said he’d been cooking for almost 50 years," someone else replied.

Fans of MasterChef have quickly embraced Jean-Christophe's mentoring style, labelling him as a "wonderful addition" to the long-running series.
