Martha Stewart Fans Lovingly Tease Her Tech Issues: 'Me When I Learned How to Screenshot'

Martha Stewart’s fans are praising the authenticity on display in the home and hospitality expert’s latest social media post.

The 83-year-old businesswoman shared a screenshot of a years-ago Instagram post on her own feed on Saturday, Jan. 11. She explained that she was revisiting the post after attending an in-person interview event with photographer Annie Leibovitz in New York City.

As the lifestyle guru explained in her Instagram caption, the original photo was snapped by Leibovitz back in 1999. It showed Stewart posing as she leaned her arms against the bed of pickup truck while in Fairfield, Conn. Leibovitz shared the photo on her own Instagram page back in August 2020 in celebration of Stewart’s birthday that year.

“This is one if my favorite photos taken by the great @annieleibovitz in 1999,” Stewart wrote on Saturday as she shared her new screenshot of Leibovitz’s 2020 Instagram post.

Though the new post showed that Stewart had liked the initial image shared by the photographer, it also included hints that she encountered some technology issues while attempting to screenshot the photo. Most of the sky that was visible in the initial image was cropped out, while the blank white space at the bottom was marred by a few digital pen marks.

While many of Stewart’s fans shared love for the image, some couldn’t help but notice the way she had cropped it and seemingly added scribble marks.

“I love when you can tell it’s truly Martha posting,” one person wrote as another gushed, “the scribbles 🥺.”

“I thought there was something on my screen😂,” one fan laughed.

“Me when I learned how to screenshot,” another fan teased.

“I would write a blank check to watch the process of making this post,” one Instagram user commented as another declared, “10/10 post Martha. No notes.”
