Margot Robbie and husband's surprising move after the birth of their son

While Margot Robbie and her husband, Tom Ackerley, haven't officially announced the exciting news of their son's birth or revealed his name, photos of the actress enjoying a walk with her baby confirmed his arrival. The star is now reportedly contemplating the best way to shield her child and any future children from the intrusion of paparazzi and ensure their privacy. And it seems the answer may be to move back to Australia.

A source connected to the actress tells Yahoo Lifestyle: "LA is like a bubble and there’s no escaping the press and paps, which is why Margot and Tom are talking about moving to Australia so their son can have a childhood like Margot did [in Queensland]. It’s a lot more relaxed and low-key."

It’s believed the couple intend to divide their time between Australia and America, depending on work projects, but "Margot would love to raise a family in Australia" close to her parents, Doug and Sarie, who live on the Gold Coast.

A source told People earlier this month that the pair is "so happy" since welcoming their son.

"They waited a long time to get pregnant, so it was almost unbelievable when the baby actually arrived," the insider said. "They’ve both been settling into being parents."

"They’re homebodies so it’s been lovely to spend the time just them, at home with him. They’re so happy."

Last year, Margot and Tom were spotted inspecting multiple properties in the Byron Bay hinterland – but it is now believed they purchased one.

In 2018, Margot hinted at her plans for a big family, telling Net-A-Porter's publication Porter: "If I’m looking into my future 30 years from now, I want to see a big Christmas dinner with tons of kids there."

She also spoke about her dislike of having her photo taken without her permission, adding, "I hate people taking pictures without asking; it’s the grossest feeling and it happens all the time. Everyone’s got a phone with a camera on them at every second of the day in every part of the world.

However, she also shared that when she's in Australia she feels almost a sense of responsibility to stop for photos with fans and have a chat with them if she's got time.

"I know what that means [to them]: 'Oh, I’ve seen a person from the place where I grew up, and now they’ve gone on to do this and now it seems possible for me too.' And that’s a special thing."
