Married At First Sight’s Lauren Hall and Clint Rice became one of the final couples to enter this year’s experiment when they tied the knot in Sydney Harbour last week. Lauren had previously been matched with Eliot Donovan on the show, however, she was given a new partner when he made the shock decision to walk out on their honeymoon.

While Lauren and Clint have begun to grow closer as a couple in the experiment, fans shouldn’t get too invested in their love story as a major spoiler has leaked online about their current relationship status. In fact, eagle-eyed fans would have noticed that the show’s editors have already started teasing the explosive twist.

A production insider tells Yahoo Lifestyle that Clint and Jacqui, who is paired with Ryan Donnelly on the show, grew close towards the end of filming but didn’t get together until after the season wrapped. The pair are believed to have shocked their co-stars when they announced their relationship at the reunion, similar to Ellie Dix and Jono McCullough last season.

Although many previous MAFS ‘cheating scandals’ fizzled out after the show, things appear to be going strong for the controversial couple as Jacqui has already quit her job in Sydney and is now living with Clint in Tasmania.

“Neither of them are making any secret of their relationship and have been flaunting it on their socials,” our source shares. “The entire cast knows about it and they’ve since been iced out of the group.”

Viewers noticed in Monday night’s episode that Clint spoke very highly of Jacqui while doing the controversial photo ranking challenge. Despite putting her in fourth last place, he described her appearance as “quite natural” and praised her work ethic.

“Physically on appearance I actually would’ve ranked her higher,” he said. “I think she’s very driven in her career, and something like that is very attractive to me.”

Fans quickly took to social media to point out the significant moment, with one person writing: “I think we’ve just seen Clint and Jacqui’s origin story.”

“Notice how Clint ranked Jacqui 6th in his lineup. Hope for Clint he had that discussion with Jacqui before the show aired,” another remarked.

“Clint’s photo ranking I was very interested to see where he would place Jacqui. I’m sure they had a conversation about that one,” a third shared, while a different user replied, “100% guarantee he is copping it right now after they watched it”.

“Would love to be a fly on the wall at Clint and Jacqui’s place right now,” someone else joked.

This comes shortly after it was revealed that Lauren and Clint will soon be branded as one of the “most hated couples in the history of the show” when they find themselves going up against their co-star Jamie Marinos.

Yahoo Lifestyle understands the three participants are set to clash in upcoming scenes, and things worsen when it’s alleged that Lauren has been referring to Jamie and other female participants as “c**ts”.

The source also claims this is why Lauren does not have a public social media account that she’s handed over to production as she’s trying to “distance herself from the show while anticipating what’s to come”.

Although everyone is remaining tight-lipped on what causes the huge fallout, a second source connected to the show claims that viewers will soon warm to Eliot and “understand why he initially left Lauren as her true colours start to show”.

Fans recently began speculating that something had happened between Lauren and her female co-stars after she was one of the only brides excluded from the cast’s recent girls' lunch for Valentine’s Day. The event, which was held in Melbourne on February 15, included Jamie, Awhina Rutene, Carina Mirabile, Rhi Disljenkovic, Katie Johnstone, Ashleigh Ackerman and intruder Beth Kelly.
