MAFS' Tristan and Sara spark dating rumours after being spotted together

Married At First Sight fans have been left baffled by a last minute, and rather unexpected potential new romance between two co-stars.

Rumours and confusion have been circulating across social media after Sara Mesa and Tristan Black took a trip to Darwin together last week, with both sharing TikToks hanging out and partying together.

A video shared to Tristan's account of the pair making fun of their newfound fame has been viewed 750,000 times, and footage of the pair dancing together in a nightclub shared to Sara's account has been viewed 250,000 times.

Their posts have been spammed with comments asking if Sara and Tristan are now dating, especially after viewers watched Tristan's ex Cassandra rage at Sara during the show's reunion last weekend.

Yahoo Lifestyle can reveal that there is a reason the pair took a trip together, and no, they are not dating.

Sara and Tristan were booked for a joint personal appearance at nightclub Monsoons, and were paid to attend their Lady's Night on Thursday, April 11.

It is understood they couldn't mention this in their posts as the appearance is believed not to have been approved by production, and therefore they couldn't amplify it on social media.

A source says: “Sara and Tristan always got on as friends and he tried not to get involved in Cassandra's feud with her.”

Married At First Sight fans were left confused by the bitter feelings between Sara and Cass during the finale episode of MAFS, with Cass labelling Sara as "fake".

Cass spoke up on the couches and called out Sara for her behaviour after John Aiken asked Cass why Sara got under her skin.

"She just lies," Cass said. "She's just fake. Everything out of her mouth is fake. Every time I talk to you, you are actually the nastiest person."

Previously to the season airing, an insider spoke out about the tension in Cass and Sara's relationship, with show insiders telling the Daily Mail that things "really hit the fan".

“It all started over a misunderstanding involving Tim. Sara felt ambushed by Cass’s sudden outburst," the insider said, saying that Cassandra was dubbed the "smiling assassin" for her quick one-liners.

“Cass has this way of stirring the pot. She’s not one to hold back, especially if she thinks someone’s not being genuine,” they continued. “And with Sara, she’s been relentless.”

However, another insider also spoke out, saying that Cassandra grew frustrated with Sara for being insincere with her husband Tim.

“She did it calmly but directly, telling Sara that she wasn’t paying enough attention to her relationship with Tim and was coming across as insincere," they said. "Every time they tried to address the issue with Sara, she became defensive and rude.”
