MAFS star slams controversial Confessions Week task: 'Breach of privacy'
EXCLUSIVE: Tori Adams says she had 'such a problem' with one of the challenges.
From Jayden Eynaud’s controversial letter to Ben Walters’ divisive value ranking task, this year’s season of Married At First Sight definitely turned up the drama during Confessions Week.
While most fans were outraged about the photo ranking the participants were forced to do, one bride says she was most upset by the phone swap challenge.
Tori Adams tells Yahoo Lifestyle she hated having to do the task, especially because she found photos of her partner Jack Dunkley’s previous proposal on his phone.
“We’d just come off two of the most hectic weeks, and I had such a problem with that challenge. I think it's just a complete breach of privacy,” she says.
“So I went into that challenge already heightened. It was just photos of the proposal and I guess I never want to take away from that moment, that was obviously a significant part of Jack and this person’s life and that's great. But to see it, I was like, ‘For f**k’s sake, Jesus Christ’.
“It was just the cherry on top of a really intense week. It was just the real icing on the cake that one.”

Tori went on to share that Jack also went through her phone during the challenge, but it was never shown on TV.
“I had vetted my phone before going on the show. I probably implicated myself there, but I was a few steps ahead of Jack when it came to content on my phone,” she remarks.
“I think Jack made reference to a hidden folder that I had on my phone and he was like, ‘What’s in it?’ and I was like, ‘You can look at it if you like, it’s just me’. But I’d gone through my phone before that challenge, so I don't know if that makes me just as guilty or a little bit more intelligent.”
Richard responds to 'cringeworthy' photo ranking challenge
Tori’s comments come shortly after her co-star Richard Sauerman spoke out about his controversial photo ranking challenge where he ranked his bride Andrea Thompson equal third.
Speaking about the cringe-worthy moment on the Hit Network’s Allan and Carly, Richard admitted it was “pretty awful” and “quite cringeworthy” watching it back on TV.
“That was a rather rookie error on my part,” he reflected. “When it comes to people and who I’ve been attracted to, it’s never been about looks. It’s always been about the chemistry and the vibe and the feeling.
“We’re so strong, so I really thought in my head that this exercise would just be a fun thing to do and wouldn’t have any impact at all!”
Richard added that he has since “cleared the air” with Andrea and apologised for his behaviour.
“I texted her afterwards and said, ‘Man that was horrible, I’m so sorry’,” he detailed. “I got a thumbs up.”
