MAFS rivals Jessika and Cyrell to reunite on brand new reality show

Married At First Sight stars Jessika Power and Cyrell Paule are set to have an explosive showdown when they reunite on a brand new reality TV show later this year.

Yahoo Lifestyle can confirm that both TV brides will appear on The Challenge Australia, a competition show which has been described as a cross between Survivor and Ninja Warrior.

The Challenge, which first premiered in the US in 1998 and has since had 37 seasons, pits former reality stars against each other in various extreme challenges in the hopes of winning a major cash prize.

The US series has previously featured contestants from Big Brother, Survivor, The Bachelor and Love Island, among other reality shows, and in February 2022 three international versions were announced: Argentina, United Kingdom, and Australia.

Sources tell Yahoo Lifestyle that producers are hoping Jessika and Cyrell, who both share manager Max Markson, will go head to head on the show.

The two stars famously didn’t get along on season six of MAFS, mainly because of Jessika’s flirty relationship with Cyrell’s ‘husband’ Nic Jovanovic, but things between them only got worse after the show finished airing.

The pair were involved in somewhat of a love triangle with Love Island’s Eden Dally, who was linked to Jessika in February 2019 before he started dating Cyrell a month later.

Cyrell previously claimed that Jessika was ‘jealous’ of her relationship with Eden, who she now shares a two-year-old son with.

Tensions reached boiling point when they filmed the MAFS all-stars reunion at the end of 2020 and Cyrell threw a glass of wine at Jess, so only time will tell what will go down between them on The Challenge.

The news comes shortly after So Dramatic! revealed that Love Island’s 2019 winner Grant Crapp and Ciarran Stott, who appeared on The Bachelorette in 2019, Bachelor In Paradise the following year, and The Bachelorette Sweden in 2021, will be joining The Challenge.

The publication also reported that the contestants will be competing for an enormous cash prize of $1,000,000.

Yahoo Lifestyle understands that filming is expected to kick off next month in Asia, with producers locking in the final lineup of reality stars now.
