After watching former private schoolboy Mikey Pembroke walk down the aisle to tie the knot with his TV wife, 26-year-old Natasha, on Married at First Sight, the pair seemed to remain drama-free during the first full week of the controversial social experiment.

But now it’s been revealed that 29-year-old Mikey has featured on our screens before, after trying his luck at winning some more cash on Deal or No Deal.

Resurfaced footage from the reality star’s Instagram shows Mikey dancing on set with host Andrew O'Keefe before he ends up describing his stint on the show as a "fail".

“Flashback Friday to deal or no deal #fail,” he captioned one post from 2015, which appears to show an episode from 2013.

“Very upsetting,” he added in another post.

MAFS Mikey goes solo for radio appearance

The morning after Mikey had said ‘I do’ to his TV bride, Natasha Spencer, the Married At First Sight contestant actually stepped out without his other half, already sparking rumours that they were no longer together.

The operations manager arrived solo for an interview on Nova 9.69’s Fitzy and Wippa Show on Feb 5 prompting questions about the newlywed’s relationship status right off the bat.

“Where’s your wife, buddy?” Wippa asked point-blank, causing his guest to squirm.

“Mate, uh... she’s not here at the moment,” the former North Shore private schoolboy stammered out, all the while avoiding eye contact.

“Don’t know why she couldn’t make it but we catch up later today on the Today show... but yeah, what a wedding!” he added by way of swiftly changing the subject.

Mikey causes chaos on Today with fellow MAFS cast

After an explosive first dinner party on Married and First Sight last week, participants Ivan, Hayley and Mikey added some more drama with a jaw-dropping appearance on Today on Thursday.

A swear word dropped, cheeky innuendo about an unexpected couple, and a tense response turned the live segment into a debacle of epic proportions.

‘Extra’ Mikey jumped in with some cheeky remarks that clearly rubbed Ivan the wrong way and we’re willing to bet left a publicist or two very unhappy.

“Is there anything going on between you and Ivan?” Karl asked Hayley, who clearly denied it before Mikey jumped in with a risky comment.

“Yes, there is,” Mikey said. “They have been travelling around Sydney together today, out for drinks last night... They had a few drinks before, watching the show together, went to a hotel room.”
