MAFS fans slam Jack's controversial final vows: 'Putrid'

Jack Dunkley and Tori Adams recommitted to each other during Monday night's final vows ceremony, perhaps to the shock of many Married At First Sight fans who thought Jack was going to dump Tori.

As Tori read her vows first and confessed her feelings for Jack, he took a different approach, making it sound as though the two had come to the end of their journey in a series of unromantic phrases.

After telling Tori he felt like the drama of the experiment brought them closer together as their "loyal personalities bonded" over having each other's backs and likening it to "teammates not lovers", Jack then questioned her decision to commit to him and move to Queensland.

"Tori, I am sorry to say I didn't commit myself to this process for a platonic relationship, nor a teammate. We are not in love, so how can I commit to you and ask you to uproot and move your life to the Gold Coast?" he said.

Jack then ended his vows by saying he was ready to take the risk and enter a relationship with Tori, saying he was "head over heels" for her.

The emotional whiplash of Jack's final vows left MAFS fans shocked.

"That was putrid. Enjoy your platonic teammate along with the humidity, bad coffee and Jack’s Lego hairline," one person commented.

"The worst final vows, so many negatives by him stating everything that he doesn’t want and doesn’t feel only to finish off that he is taking a risk to be with her, and she accepts this … WTF?" another person ranted.

"Imagine moving your entire life after the speech he gave. I would not be running," someone else commented.

"I had more passion making my rissoles tonight than those to have... what kind of kiss was that?? So fake!" another person said. "Please wrap it up. Let her go chase mediocrity in children's clothing into the sunset. Just get it off our TVs," another disgruntled fan commented.

Some people also didn't believe Jack had the capabilities to write such a speech.

"Which producer wrote Jack's speech? He’s not capable of writing that," one person said.
