MAFS' Evelyn reveals surprising way she hid her large tattoo on the show

The season 10 bride spilled her tattoo secret during an Instagram Q&A

Married At First Sight’s Evelyn Ellis has revealed the truth about her surprising tattoo and how she covered it up when appearing on this year’s season of the reality show.

The 27-year-old model had a colourful half-sleeve tattoo on her right upper arm during her stint on Big Brother UK in 2016 - which was nowhere to be seen when she walked down the aisle on MAFS.

Evelyn spoke candidly about her tattoo during an Instagram Q&A on Thursday and revealed she’s currently in the process of getting it removed.

“So I got my tattoos when I was really, really young and then I decided to laser it off,” she told her followers.

“It's pretty light now, but if I'm doing a shoot or if I'm going to an event and I want to wear something that reveals my arms, I cover it up with makeup. But it's almost gone, so that's that.”

During the Q&A, Evelyn also responded to one follower who asked if she was still friendly with her MAFS ‘husband’ Rupert Bugden.

“Yes, yes I am,” she replied. “I’m still friends with Ruperto. When he was in Sydney last time, me and Duncs visited him - well, he visited us - and yeah, we still check up on each other.”

Another fan also asked Evelyn about rumours she and her boyfriend Duncan James - who went public with their romance last month - are in a ‘fake’ relationship for social media.

“Yep, it’s true,” she responded sarcastically. “How can anyone go for a guy like that?”

Evelyn's huge career move

Evelyn’s Q&A comes shortly after Yahoo Lifestyle revealed that fans might not have to wait too long until they get to see the fan favourite bride back on their screens.

According to a TV insider, Evelyn is tipped to be “Channel Nine's new darling” after impressing bosses at the network, as well as viewers across Australia and the UK.

“The network is keen to keep Evelyn in the family and really champion her,” the source told us.

“She's popular, relatable and has always dreamed of working in TV, so now it's just a matter of developing her skills and finding the right opportunities. This could be anything from hosting segments on Today Extra to landing her own digital series or even appearing on Celebrity Apprentice if they bring it back. There's a lot of possibilities and it's all very exciting for her.”

The insider added that Evelyn is so serious about building a long-term career in the media off the back of her newfound public profile that she's even enlisted the help of one of Australia's top publicists, Jai Evans.

She’s also signed with Australia’s leading influencer and creator agency, Max Connectors, who represent Martha Kalifatidis, Ella Ding, Tammy Hembrow and Jadé Tunchy.
