MAFS breakout star Evelyn Ellis' huge career move: 'Exciting'

EXCLUSIVE: The season 10 bride has a bright future ahead of her.

It's only been a matter of weeks since this year’s season of Married At First Sight came to an end, but fans might not have to wait too long until they get to see fan favourite bride Evelyn Ellis back on their screens.

Yahoo Lifestyle understands the intruder bride is tipped to be “Channel Nine's new darling” after impressing bosses at the network, as well as viewers across Australia and the UK

A TV insider tells us Channel Nine is “keen to keep Evelyn in the family and really champion her” moving forward.

“She's popular, relatable and has always dreamed of working in TV, so now it's just a matter of developing her skills and finding the right opportunities,” the source says.

“This could be anything from hosting segments on Today Extra to landing her own digital series or even appearing on Celebrity Apprentice if they bring it back. There's a lot of possibilities and it's all very exciting for her.”

Evelyn’s close relationship with Nine is already on full display as she recently made an appearance at Cannes in Cairns speaking on a MAFS keynote alongside her boyfriend Duncan James and the network’s CMO and Head of Content.

Previous MAFS participants that Nine have “kept in the family” include Martha Kalifatidis, who starred on Celebrity Apprentice in 2021, Domenica Calarco, who had her own MAFS spin-off digital series last year, and Jules Robinson and Cameron Merchant, who televised their real wedding with an A Current Affair special.

The insider says Evelyn is so serious about building a long-term career in the media off the back of her newfound public profile that she's even enlisted the help of one of Australia's top publicists, Jai Evans.

She’s also signed with Australia’s leading influencer and creator agency, Max Connectors, who represent Martha, Ella Ding, Tammy Hembrow and Jadé Tunchy.
