MAFS' Clint and Lauren's off-camera apology to Jamie and Dave revealed
EXCLUSIVE: Clint Rice spills on what viewers didn’t see on TV.
Married At First Sight’s Clint Rice has claimed that he and Lauren Hall apologised to Jamie Marinos and Dave Thomas Hand several times throughout filming but it was never shown on TV. The two couples engaged in a screaming match at the couples retreat after Lauren called Jamie a “troll”, and Clint was also shown telling her to “sit the f**k down”.
The intruder groom appeared to double down on his behaviour at the commitment ceremony, however, he asserts that viewers haven’t been seeing the full picture. Speaking with Yahoo Lifestyle following his exit in Sunday night’s episode, Clint reveals that he immediately apologised to Jamie after swearing at her on the couples retreat.
“I literally apologised twice to her then, and I also went inside on camera and apologised again,” he details. “She didn't really want to have anything to do with it, which is fine. If she wasn't ready to accept it, that's okay.”

In addition to his apologies in Byron Bay, Clint says he also apologised to Jamie and Dave when they returned to Sydney.
“After the commitment ceremony, the next morning I said to Lauren, ‘We've got to go down and we both have to apologise to Jamie and Dave’. Lauren wasn't really up for it but in the end, we did go. She was like, ‘Okay, let's do this’,” he recalls.
“They were great. Jamie and Dave were like, ‘Yeah, it's no problem, we get it, we appreciate the apology’. So it's hard to watch back and see that there were no apologies coming from myself or Lauren towards any of the group.”
Clint admits he's 'embarrassed to be on the show'
Clint went on to say that it was “disappointing” seeing Jamie apologise to Carina Mirabile in Sunday night’s episode when his apologies were edited out, and he feels “embarrassed” by his portrayal on the show.
“It's a tough watch when some people get the space to apologise and it goes to air, but then the amount of times I apologised to Jamie aren’t shown,” he remarks. “I wasn't proud of that. I don't want to conduct myself in that way.
“I'm pretty embarrassed to be on the show, to be honest, and how they've actually made my character look on the show. I've definitely watched it back, and it's been a really tough watch in the fact that there's been a number of times where they’re not showing my conversations, the decisions that I make or my contribution to the relationship, which makes me look like I don't have a voice.”
Jamie responds to Lauren's apology
Jamie recently spoke with Yahoo Lifestyle about her relationship with Lauren post-show and gave quite a telling response when asked if she ever received an apology from her.
“If there was a sorry, it probably wasn't real,” she said. “I haven’t had any communication with Lauren and I don’t think anyone should. Save yourself.
“She’s obviously got problems. Imagine having a decade on someone and calling them names. Like, this b***h has a decade on me, relax. Name calling and you’re pushing 40? How embarrassing.”

She added, however, that she has since become a fan of Lauren’s made-up term ‘boganic’ and now wears it as a badge of honour.
“Honestly, much like ‘fetch’, I think we actually should make it happen,” she shared. “I quite like it, it's actually quite a catchy word. I have no issue, I referred to myself as a boganic bride. I’ll wear that, I don’t give a f**k.”
