MAFS' Caitlin reveals what it's really like having Melinda as her boss

The Married At First Sight brides began working together after the show.

She might not have found love on this year’s season of Married At First Sight, but Caitlin McConville left the show with plenty of life-long friendships and a brand new job.

The 27-year-old makeup artist has since been hired by her co-star Melinda Willis as a senior technician at her business Melly’s Beauty Parlour in Brisbane specialising in lashes and brows.

Speaking with Yahoo Lifestyle, Caitlin explained how she ended up working alongside Melinda after leaving MAFS.

“I was working a different job and I was saying how I needed another job, something I can enjoy a little bit more and something a bit more financially stable,” she details.

“And Melinda was like, ‘Babe, get your qualifications and come work for me!’ and I was like, ‘I already have them!’. So we just thought why not? We’re both Brisbane girls and we both have the same qualifications in this industry. Women supporting women vibes.”

Caitlin went on to say that Melinda, who has established a number of successful beauty companies across her career, is “amazing to work with”.

“She’s so understanding, she’s really patient and she’s a great boss and a great friend,” she shares. “It's a pleasure to work with her.”

'Everything happens for a reason'

This comes after Caitlin confirmed to Yahoo Lifestyle that she would be interested in returning to MAFS for season eleven if she was given the chance.

“Look, if I was single and I hadn't found somebody yet, I would definitely be open to coming back,” she said. “But I’m hoping to have found somebody by then!”

She added that she’s feeling “really good” about how everything turned out and believes “everything happens for a reason”.

“I've met some amazing people from the experience that I will be friends with forever, so my life post-show has been amazing,” she shared. “I’m sad about how things went but I’m grateful for the opportunity anyway.”
