Married at First Sight star Melinda Willis has offered one of her co-stars a helping hand after they were left with no money when the show wrapped filming.

Melinda, a fashion and beauty CEO who founded a number of companies, appears to have hired fellow bride and makeup artist Caitlin McConville to join her at Melly's Beauty Parlour in Brisbane.

Photos of the pair outlining their qualifications have been posted to the business's website, with Caitlin listed as a senior technician who specialises in lashes and brows.

A source told Yahoo Lifestyle Caitlin was out of work after she was forced to quit her job to film the show, and she struggled to find work when season ten finished.

"Melinda then offered to help her out as they've become very close since filming ended. She's got a huge soft side viewers haven't seen on the show yet," the source claimed.

The MAFS star is also the co-owner of fashion brand BSSA.

How much MAFS stars are paid

It can be a struggle for MAFS stars after filming if they do have to quit their job to star in the show. Filming can last up to months if they choose to stay until the end.

Stars who appear on the reality show are only paid about $150 a day while they are away from their jobs.

Season 9 star Domenica Calarco revealed on TikTok that's all she was paid, which another bride later confirmed to Yahoo Lifestyle.

“I still had bills, had to pay my rent, and I had to pay, you know, whatever,” Domenica remarked.

Appearing on the Kyle & Jackie O Show, Domenica said she did not get paid enough for what she went through and her salary was “about minimum wage”.
