MAFS breakout star Evelyn Ellis praised after TV presenting debut: 'Natural'
Evelyn has successfully made the transition from reality star to TV presenter.
Married At First Sight’s Evelyn Ellis has been applauded online after she made her presenting debut on Channel Nine’s long-running travel show Getaway over the weekend.
The season 10 breakout star, who landed the gig less than three months after this year’s season of MAFS finished airing on TV, took viewers on a tour around Sydney exploring some of her favourite locations.
She went for a walk through Balls Head Reserve to become “one with nature”, and also visited Drag N' Dine at The Imperial Erskineville with her best friend Rice.
The episode ended up attracting a total of 312,000 viewers on Saturday night, which is the largest audience the show has received in over a month.

“You are a natural at this. Your voice and the way you [deliver] the dialogue is fantastic,” one person wrote, followed by another who said, “Your voice is actually made for this”.
“Confidence and a clear communicator. Amazing! Well done Eve,” a third replied, while someone else commented, “I’m stunned at how natural you are at presenting it's fantastic”.
“Good on you. Got the guy and the career,” a different user remarked.
'Absolute legend'
Several of Evelyn’s season 10 co-stars also took to the comments on her Instagram post to celebrate her achievement, with her partner Duncan James writing: “So pumped and so bloody proud of you! You deserve this.”
“Amazing my girl! Nailed it,” Sandy Jawanda said, with Caitlin McConville adding, “Here she issssss”.
“You are such an absolute legend! I can’t wait to see the rest,” Janelle Han shared.

After impressing viewers across Australia and the UK, Evelyn has been tipped to be “Channel Nine's new darling”.
A TV insider told Yahoo Lifestyle earlier this month that the network is “keen to keep Evelyn in the family and really champion her” moving forward.
“She's popular, relatable and has always dreamed of working in TV, so now it's just a matter of developing her skills and finding the right opportunities,” the source says.
“This could be anything from hosting segments on Today Extra to landing her own digital series or even appearing on Celebrity Apprentice if they bring it back. There's a lot of possibilities and it's all very exciting for her.”
