The wedding

While Ollie appeared to have an immediate spark with Tahnee Cook when he first laid eyes on her at their wedding, he admits her attraction for him wasn’t as instant.

“What's funny about this right, Tahnee can't see for s**t, she’s got really bad vision,” he laughs. “She couldn't see what the hell I looked like, she had no idea!

“I saw her the whole way down and I was like, ‘Yes!’.”

Ollie adds that he had never seen MAFS before he signed up for the show, which he believes actually played to his advantage.

“I think that was good in a way that it was just like, every reaction that you have is not, ‘Oh, I know what they're doing here’,” he says.

“If you're not thinking about what it could be, then you're just living in the moment, so I had no expectations. I was wrapped. I was like, ‘You’re telling me they’ve got these people that are going to pick me a person that they think is suited to me? Hell yeah, dude!’.”

The apartment date

Viewers were extremely impressed when Ollie surprised Tahnee by transforming their apartment into the Fiji beach inspired by their romantic honeymoon.

He tells Yahoo Lifestyle that he had an hour to buy all of the supplies with his own money, and he orchestrated the entire thing with help from a friend who was visiting from Perth at the time.

“We went to the $2 store and we were just grabbing all this s**t,” he details. “Then I was like, ‘Okay, we've got time for one beer’, so we went to the pub, we had one beer, and I’m dragging all this stuff in.

“And by the way, I think I said this on the show, but the $2 store - I spent about 50 bucks on 10 things, so you tell me that's the $2 store.”

The hometown date

Towards the end of the experiment, Ollie and Tahnee had a picnic in Bondi where they spoke about their future together outside of the show.

While he says it was a fun scene to film because he decided he was “just going to talk dribble” the entire time, he admits they both found it hard to eat the food production gave them.

“We had KFC and it took ages to set up and it was so cold and they were like, ‘You have to like the KFC’, but it was so f**king cold!” he recalls. “Fast food, you can’t eat it when it's cold. It’s not food anymore, it’s another entity.

“Tahnee can’t drink alcohol either, she’s allergic to alcohol. Little sips are ok, but every glass she had at the dinner party was non-alcoholic.”

The reunion dinner party

One of the wildest moments from this year’s season was when Harrison Boon attempted to expose his TV ‘wife’ Bronte Schofield at the reunion dinner party by bringing out printed screenshots of her messages but was instead met with laughter from the entire group.

Ollie says he “really couldn’t believe” Harrison actually brought the screenshots out in front of everyone and has since found out there was another cast member who encouraged him to do it.

“I don't know if I should say this, but it was actually the advice from a cast mate who you would not expect to give that advice,” he teases.

“Somebody told him to and I said, ‘In what world did you think that was going to be of benefit to him bringing screenshots? In what world would we have been like, well, we were wrong about Harrison, we've seen the screenshots, pretty good’.”
