MAFS 2025 cast unveiled at first dinner party - and there's already huge drama

The cast of Married At First Sight 2025 all met for the very first time on Tuesday night as they filmed the first dinner party of the show's upcoming twelfth season.

Many of the pairings looked like their relationships were off to a flying start as they kissed and cuddled upon arriving at the Lilyfield warehouse where filming takes place. However, it appears there's already drama for two couples.

Lauren Hall, who is the ex-girlfriend of former groom Jonathan ‘Jono’ McCullough, was not seen arriving with her new husband Eliot Donovan after the pair were spotted filming their wedding at Sydney’s State Theatre on July 26.

Meanwhile, social enterprise CEO Katie Johnson from Queensland was seen arriving without a husband, with producers sneaking her into a building via a back entrance to avoid being photographed.

MAFS 'accidentally' pairs ex-couple

Yahoo Lifestyle revealed last month that the upcoming season of MAFS has seen two exes ‘accidentally’ matched by the experts - with nobody realising the monumental mistake until the pair met down the aisle while filming their TV wedding.

Former Neighbours actor Jeff Gobbels and fitness influencer Rhi Disljenkovic, both based in Melbourne, were shocked when they were unexpectedly reunited on the set of the reality show. After turning around to get his first look at his new ‘bride’, Jeff appeared surprised and said “Hey Rhi” before she had even introduced herself.

Photos from Tuesday night’s dinner party show the pair might not be getting along as well as producers may have hoped as they didn’t show any affection towards one another after stepping out of the car. While the other couples were all photographed kissing or embracing, Jeff and Rhi both appeared stone-faced as they walked into the building.

How do Jeff and Rhi know each other?

A source tells Yahoo Lifestyle that the pair were seeing each other this time last year after being introduced by a mutual friend, Australian Survivor star and football presenter Abbey Holmes, but “never became official”.

Since parting ways, the pair “have kept in touch” and still attend the same group classes at their shared gym, Hurt Locker Richmond. Yahoo Lifestyle can reveal that they also still followed each other on Instagram before their MAFS wedding.
