‘The Madness’ Tops Thanksgiving Week Nielsen Streaming Charts As Holiday Films Come Into Rotation
Audiences flocked to a healthy mix of streaming original content and familiar, older titles during Thanksgiving week.
Nielsen’s latest streaming report, which was delayed due to the holidays, puts Netflix’s The Madness at the top of the charts with 1.3B minutes viewed from November 25 to December 1. The Colman Domingo-led crime thriller series was one of four billion-minute titles during this interval — three of which were from the same streamer.

Bluey was the outlier, putting up another monster week with just under 1.1B minutes viewed, good enough for third place. Second place was Cold Case: Who Killed JonBenét Ramsey with 1.2B minutes viewed, while fourth place went to Our Little Secret with Lindsay Lohan and Ian Harding.
Netflix’s A Man On The Inside also made it on the list with 933M minutes viewed, as did Prime Video’s Cross with 801M viewing minutes.
The rest of the Top 10 overall went to stalwarts like Family Guy and Bob’s Burgers. In the final spot was Elf, as the Christmas classic soared to 735M minutes viewed as audiences began to prepare for the holiday season.
It was one of several holiday classics to appear on the Nielsen film list alongside Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch, Home Alone and National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.
