Love is Blind star undergoes 'insane transformation': 'Inspiring'

Love is Blind star Shayne Jansen has taken to Instagram to showcase his "insane" body transformation, saying he "truly" loves himself now.

"It’s amazing when you prioritize yourself and you look as good as you feel," he said alongside a before and after photo. "I’ve come a long way in a year and I can finally say I truly love myself."

The first photo only showed off his torso and then the next snap showed off his ripped physique.

"Damn that's an insane transformation!!! Congrats," one follower wrote.

"Thirst trap Thursday in full effect," another joked.

"This is inspiring! Feeling comfortable in your own skin is what’s most important, no matter what shape or size," a third added. "Good for you for prioritising yourself to feel better!"

"Thanks for the motivation to get me through my next workout," a fourth said.

"Great job! That's not easy," someone else added.

Others argued that Shayne shouldn't have needed to lose weight to love himself, with one user writing, "You should have loved yourself before as well!"

"1) Killer abs 2) Self-love doesn't have anything to do with abs," another agreed.

"Very proud of you! But that dad bod still looks good," someone else added.

"Dude don’t set that as the standard of loving yourself; when you get in your 50s/60s and get that Dad bod you will no longer love yourself then. Life will get in the way," another said.

Shayne appeared on season two of Netflix's Love is Blind and was engaged to co-star Natalie Mina Lee, however, things didn't turn out for the pair with Natalie rejecting him at the altar.

On the morning of the wedding, Natalie told the cameras, "I'm nervous, I'm stressed. Last night, Shayne and I got in a fight. It was a really bad one, and he said some really hurtful things to me...He got really, really angry at me."

When they make it to the altar, he tells her, "It's so hard to describe what we've been through...I love you. I do. A thousand times over. You're my best friend. There's no-one else I'd rather do this with. My entire life."

Natalie then responded, "I'm so glad that we shared this journey together. I think we've grown a lot as two people who have fallen in love. I know I've grown a lot because of you. But I don't. I'm so sorry."

She added, "I still love you and you're still my best friend. But we have really big issues to sort through."

The pair ended up dating for several months after their wedding but realised they weren't right for each other.

Shayne took to Instagram, describing their relationship as "the best time of my life" and apologising for any wrongdoing on his behalf.

"I don’t know what’s next for us but I do know that I will never stop loving you," he added.
