Lily Collins Welcomes First Child Via Surrogate—See the Baby Girl's Photo

Lily Collins is officially a mom! The Emily in Paris star and former InStyle cover girl announced she welcomed her first child with her husband, Charlie McDowell, via surrogate on Instagram.

The To the Bone star surprised her 28.9 million followers with a photo of her new bundle of joy, named Tove Jane McDowell. In the snap, Collins touches her baby girl's chest as she lays down in a bassinet. Tove is pictured wearing an adorable beige onesie and knit beanie adorned with floral details. She lays atop a slate-gray quilt and next to a creamy-white crocheted blanket with her name emblazoned across in golden-yellow yarn.

"Welcome to the center of our world Tove Jane McDowell. Words will never express our endless gratitude for our incredible surrogate and everyone who helped us along the way. We love you to the moon and back again," Collins captioned the post.

Droves of fans and many of the celebrity couple's A-list friends flocked to the comments to leave their well wishes.

Emily in Paris co-star Ashley Park wrote, "Mom and dadddddd ❤️❤️❤️❤️," while Sofia Richie Grainge added, "Love you all so much ! Congratulations 💕" and fellow actress Liana Liberato commented, "Lily this is so amazing! big love to you ❤️."

The Last Showgirl star Billie Lourd kept the excitement going with, "!!!!!!! Congratulations galore!!! So happy for you!!!! ❤️❤️❤️," while Sarah Hyland said, "I’m sobbinggggg 😍😍😍," and Riley Keough simply typed, "😍😍😍😍."

InStyle's Fall 2024 cover star and her hubby first found love in 2019 on the set of Gilded Rage, in which Collins stars and McDowell served as writer and director. The lovebirds tied the knot in September 2021 in Colorado. "I've never wanted to be someone's someone more than I do yours, and now I get to be your wife," she captioned a photo of the couple kissing at the altar. "On September 4th, 2021 we officially became each other's forever. I love you beyond @charliemcdowell…"

The couple's connection was electric from the get-go; not to mention, they share a famous-parents bond: McDowell is the son of actress Mary Steenburgen and actor Malcolm McDowell, while Collins's dad is, of course, famed Genesis drummer Phil Collins. While Collins kept the fact that they were expecting under wraps, she has previously opened up about wanting a family.
