Lily Collins and Charlie McDowell announce birth of their first child: 'Welcome to the center of our world'

Cue "You'll Be in My Heart" — Lily Collins and Charlie McDowell are parents.

The Emily in Paris star (and daughter of legendary rocker Phil Collins) announced that she and her husband, a filmmaker and son of actress Mary Steenburgen, have welcomed their first child together, via surrogate.

"Welcome to the center of our world Tove Jane McDowell," Collins wrote in a joint Instagram post with McDowell.

The post also included a photo of the baby bundled in a bassinet with a blanket that has her name stitched on it. In the photo, the little one can be seen with her hand resting atop what appears to be Collins' forearm.

"Words will never express our endless gratitude for our incredible surrogate and everyone who helped us along the way," the caption continued. "We love you to the moon and back again."

Amanda Seyfried and Billie Lourd were some of the starry names to immediately comment on the post. "This is perfect. So so happy for you four," Seyfried wrote, while Lourd gushed, "Congratulations galore!!! So happy for you!!!!" Collins' Emily in Paris costar Ashley Park also wrote, "Mom and dadddddd" alongside numerous heart emojis.

The announcement comes just one day after Collins shared a sweet birthday tribute to her father on Instagram. "From a west coast star to the West End stage and everywhere in between — I’m so grateful to be by your side and for the support, experiences, and love we have and will continue to share," she wrote in the post. "The older I get, the greater I appreciate all the little, special moments spent together. Happy birthday Dad. I couldn't love you more or be more thankful to celebrate you today and every day. Truly. To the moon and back again…"

This is the first child for both Collins and McDowell, who have been married since September 2021. The couple were first linked in 2019, and made things Instagram-official in August of that year, when the actress shared a few photos of the couple in France while she was filming her hit Netflix show.

She announced their engagement in September 2020, writing on Instagram, "I've been waiting my lifetime for you and I can't wait to spend our lifetime together."
