Home and Away's Ada Nicodemou breaks silence on 'unexpected' romance with James Stewart

Home and Away star Ada Nicodemou has finally broken her silence on her new romance with her on-screen love interest, James Stewart. The pair, who are married on the show, were first spotted kissing on Anzac Day, a little while after both Ada and James' previous relationships ended.

Ada and James have remained silent about their relationship, but in a new interview with Stellar, the actress has opened up about the "unexpected" romance.

"Jimmy and I are together, yes. It's only early days. It's very recent and very unexpected. I'm super happy. It's really lovely," she said.

The pair's on-screen wedding aired on April 9, just a few weeks before the couple was photographed kissing, with Ada adding that the wedding was not what brought them together.

"There weren't genuine feelings then," she said, adding the episode was shot six months prior to airing. "It was shot last year. But I think whenever you're watching any TV couple, you're always wondering if they really do have feelings."

Ada and James have known each other for some time, having met in 1998 on the Aussie drama Breakers. They've been working together on Home and Away for seven years, with James meeting his ex-wife Sarah Roberts on the show.

Sarah confirmed in March that she and James were divorced and not long after this, it was revealed that Ada had split from her ex-partner Adam Rigby just before Christmas last year.

Home and Away fans were quick to react to Ada's confirmation of her relationship with James, with one fan writing on Instagram, "Damn right! Set that record straight!"

"Your life your love 🥰 I hope you have the privacy you need both of you," another added.

"She’s so gorgeous! Living her best life!! Happy looks good on her. That's all that matters," a third said.

"Can't help who you fall in love with. Enjoy new beginnings. You two are gorgeous together, hope it's forever," someone else added.

"You shouldn’t have to explain your life to anyone just enjoy it," another said.

"You are gorgeous and a talented actress," yet another fan wrote. "Don't let the negative social media comments affect your personal relationships. Your relationship with James is personal between the two of you. If you are both happy that is the main thing and you are not doing anything wrong. You have a spark between both of you."

Many others echoed the sentiment, saying Ada's love life is her business only.
