Home And Away fans mourn departing character: 'Sad to see him go'
Home and Away viewers aren't ready to say goodbye to genetically blessed River Boy, Rory.
Home and Away fans are mourning the short but memorable stint of bad boy River Boy Rory, played by Joshua Orpin, after he took to Instagram to bid farewell to his character saying he had left Summer Bay for "green pastures"... aka, prison.
"I'd be lying if I said he doesn't entirely deserve it! Nonetheless, I hope you've enjoyed having him around these past few weeks," Joshua captioned the post. "It was my utter privilege to join the enormously talented and hard-working @homeandaway team earlier this year to help bring this character to life. What an honour to make my own small contribution to the storied legacy of this iconic Australian TV series!"
The actor went on to say he wasn't sure if fans would see Rory pop up again. "Don't know if we'll ever see Rory again, but I'm sure the River Boys will make their return to the bay sooner or later..." he teased.
Home and Away fans mourn hot River Boy
With many fans previously speculating the character of Rory would stick around for a bit longer, and some theorising he was actually an undercover cop, people were pretty sad to see his (alleged) last episode.
"Wish Rory was a permanent character!" one person said. "Sad to see him go."
"Oh bugger, I really hoped he was undercover somehow. He was very good for the show and Flick," another sad fan said. "Never mind. Thanks 'Rory’. Your acting was excellent and lifted the show."

"Can you bring Rory back? He was such a wonderful actor and not to mention good-looking," a thirsty person commented. "Such a shame Rory isn’t a permanent character. Loved this storyline," another said.
"He should’ve been a permanent character, I loved him so much, what the hell," one annoyed fan complained.
Some Home and Away fans aren't convinced this is the last we'll see of Rory
While some are mourning Rory, others aren't ready to say goodbye just yet, saying the storyline doesn't feel finished.
"I feel like this was a really random storyline and now to be wrapped up already. Just feels off...." one person said.
"Something isn't sitting right with me. Rory told Flick he helped Dingo get rid of the body, 10 mins later he's confessing to Cash .....go back a bit, he tells Cash he wasn't there at the start, but he killed him. Then who was in the car with Dingo??? If not Rory? Something is telling me there's a twist to this story for sure......and if not there should be lol," someone else said.
