Everything we know about MAFS' most reluctant groom Tim Gromie

It wasn't love at first sight for new MAFS groom Tim Gromie, who appeared on Tuesday night's episode. The PE teacher wasn't thrilled with his match Katie Johnson, citing numerous times he wasn't feeling a "spark" between the two.

After an awkward wedding, an even more awkward photo shoot, and, yep you guessed it, an awkward wedding reception where Tim rejected any of Katie's physical advances (like a hug and a kiss on the cheek) Tim questioned the producers behind the scenes about the pairing, saying that he usually goes for "short, petite, blonde or brunette" and that he was "shattered" by the match.

The episode ended with Katie in tears after Tim told her off-camera that he wasn't attracted to her.

"Last night for me was horrible," Katie said. "He knocked on my door and wanted to chat, we sat down, and he said 'There's no spark, I wasn't feeling a spark all day'. To be rejected, that's my worst nightmare, I don't know what I've done wrong," Katie said, breaking down in tears.

With Tim not showing up to the press photo day and having deleted all of his social media already, a source has told Yahoo Lifestyle that the groom is "refusing to do interviews" and wants "nothing to do with the show".

MAFS' Tim 'fearful' of future edit

"Tim is really fearful the show is going to affect his employment as a primary school teacher, that's why he's deleted all socials, is refusing to do interviews and wants nothing to do with it. He feels he was stitched up from the start and is now just trying to get through it with minimal damage to his career and reputation," the insider spilled.

A second source has also said Tim won't come out well in future episodes.

"He isn't going to come out of this very well at all, especially after the first dinner party," they said.

Tim's bio states he's been "unlucky in love". The 38-year-old primary school teacher suffered a heartbreak when he came close to proposing to an ex-girlfriend, only for her to suddenly end the relationship.

Since then, Tim took a year to "work on himself and recover" and described himself in his Channel Nine bio as a romantic "big, cuddly teddy bear" who is looking for a caring partner and a genuine connection and hopes to have children of his own one day.
