Skehan revealed that the trick lies in incorporating "some oil, some flour and some parmesan cheese." The next step involves tossing the potatoes in a pot with the lid on until you achieve those delightful "ruffled edges". Finally, transfer them to a roasting pan to complete the process.

For those eager to replicate this culinary magic step by step, here's the recipe:
Ingredients:
1kg of potatoes
1 tbsp of plain flour
1 generous handful of Parmesan cheese
Olive oil
Rosemary sprigs
Sea salt and ground black pepper
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 200°C/400°F/Gas Mark 6.
Peel the potatoes and chop them in half, adjusting the size as desired.
Place the potatoes in a pot, cover with cold water, bring to a boil, and simmer for 5 minutes.
Drain the potatoes in a colander, then return them to the pot. Add flour, cheese, sea salt, and ground black pepper.
Put the lid on, give them a quick shake to coat, and chuff up the sides.
Transfer the coated potatoes to a roasting tin and roast in the oven for 35 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
