Kate also shared an eerie detail from her flight, with the influencer being sat in the 1D seat on the plane. "Of course my seat was 1D, I feel like this happens every time I fly," she said, before saying she had anxiety before flying and showing footage of a rash on her neck.
Fans were left confused after Liam's death as the singer shared videos on Snapchat, documenting his time in Argentina with Kate. However, it is believed these videos were pre-recorded and posted on the day of his tragic death, as Kate was already home by this point.
On Saturday morning, a heartbroken Kate took to Instagram to break her silence on her boyfriend's passing.
She shared a statement on her Instagram Stories, writing, "Thank you for all of the kind words and love that has been sent my way. I have been at a complete loss. Nothing about the past few days have felt real.
"I ask and pray that you'll give me the grace and space to navigate this in private."
She then shared a message to Liam, writing, "Liam, my angel. You are everything. I want you to know I loved you unconditionally and completely. I will continue to love you the rest of my life. I love you Liam."
Cheryl Cole, Liam Payne's ex and mother of his son, Bear, slams 'abhorrent reports'
Liam began dating Cheryl Cole, who is ten years his senior, in 2016, with the pair welcoming their son Bear in March 2017. They later went on to split in 2018 and have co-parented Bear together since.
Cheryl and Liam first met in 2008 when Liam auditioned for The X-Factor for the first time when he was just 14. She said the then-teen had "charisma" and while he didn't make it through at the time, he auditioned again in 2010, with Cheryl telling him, "You've definitely got it. Whatever it is, you've got it."
Liam previously told Logan Paul in 2022 on his podcast that Cheryl is the "best mum in the world".
"I couldn't ask for someone better," he said of their co-parenting.
Hearts broke around the world for the pair's son, who is just seven years old, with Cheryl sharing a statement on Saturday morning which read: "As I try to navigate this earth shattering event, and work through my own grief at this indescribably painful time, I'd like to kindly remind everyone that we have lost a human being.
"Liam was not only a pop star and a celebrity, he was a son, a brother, an uncle, a dear friend and a father to our 7-year-old son. A son that now has to face the reality of never seeing his father again.
"What is troubling my spirit the most is that one day Bear will have access to the abhorrent reports and media exploitation we have seen in the past two days. It is breaking my heart further that I cannot protect him from that in the future."
She continued, "I am begging you to consider what use some of these reports are serving, other than to cause further harm to everyone left behind picking up the pieces. Before you leave comments or make videos, ask yourself if you would like your own child or family to read them.
"Please give Liam the little dignity he has left in the wake of his death to rest in some peace at least."
She signed off, writing, "Thank you, Cheryl."
