Larry Emdur wows followers with snap of lookalike son: 'Twins'
The Morning Show’s Larry Emdur has left his followers shocked after he shared a sweet tribute on social media celebrating his son Jye’s birthday.
The TV host took to Instagram on Friday to share a gallery of snaps that showcased the striking resemblance between father and son.
“28 years ago I got this awesome ‘2 for 1’ special! I got a best mate and a best son in the same deal,” he captioned the post.
“Happy Birthday Jye, for 28 years you have entertained and fascinated us and made us beyond proud. You are my co-pilot for life and I’m excited to watch your next chapter which may or may not include helping me push my Zimmer frame around the nursing home”
The first photo features Larry, his wife Sylvie, and Jye as a child posing next to Hey Hey It's Saturday’s Plucka Duck, while the second snap shows Jye all grown up in a sleek black suit.
Fans quickly took to the comments to point out the surprising resemblance between the pair and compliment Jye on his good looks.
“Oh my god! I thought that was an old photo of you in the 2nd one” one person wrote, with another adding, “How bizarre they could be twins”.
“Happy Birthday to your son, who is such a ‘mini me’ of you!” a third shared.

“Fabulous photos & my gosh, your son is the image of you, Larry, poor thing,” someone else joked.
“At the risk of sounding like a pervy old lady ‘phwoar!’” The Real Housewives of Sydney’s Lisa Oldfield remarked.
Jye also left his own heartwarming comment on his dad’s post, writing: “That caption needs to come with a waterworks warning. Love you with everything I have, always have and always will!”
Happy As
Larry’s post comes shortly after he announced earlier this month that he is writing a memoir titled Happy As which will be released in August.
“It’s really a nostalgic kind of look back at growing up in Bondi, Chiko Rolls, going surfing, sunburn and then it leaks into television,” he explained on The Morning Show.
“It’s a fun look through television, 40 years in television, but also lots of good old stuff that we can look back over our shoulder and smile about the good old days.”
