Lainey Wilson Shares Emotional Update With Fans: "There Was Magic in the Air"
At the beginning of 2025, Lainey Wilson was settling down when many folks were raring to ramp up. The reason? She was exhausted from near non-stop touring and performing and was thrilled for the chance “to get bored.” After some much-needed downtime, an engagement, and the opportunity to reconnect with her roots, Lainey is back and feeling better than ever on her Whirlwind World Tour, which kicked off on Tuesday, March 4.
“The #WhirlwindWorldTour has kicked off in Zurich,” she captioned a carousel of photos on Instagram following her first show. “I heard the Swiss talking…. They said ‘Das Land ist wieder cool.’”
By the second night of her European leg, the 32-year-old country artist was reveling in her pinch-me-is-this-real-life career. “Country music has taken us places I never thought I’d be able to go,” she captioned a carousel of photos from her show in Antwerp, Belgium. “Lemme go look up how to say GRATEFUL in Dutch.”
When Lainey performed in London, she shared this message on Instagram: "London, the first time I came to play music for y’all was 2018. It was just me and a guitar. Last night, we headlined @theo2london. How can you be so far away from home but somehow feel like you’re there? 🩵 love you @c2cfestival"
The European leg of Lainey’s Whirlwind World Tour wraps up on Wednesday, March 19, then she’s back home to the States, with over two dozen shows scheduled starting in mid-August.
Now the only question is, what will she be working on in the interim? So far this year, she’s partnered with Ford and Whataburger, expanded her collaboration with Wrangler, and worked with Myles Smith on “Nice to Meet You.” Could even more new music be on the horizon? We sure hope so. In the meantime, we'll be looking forward to her appearance on Opry 100!
