Ladylike Beauty Looks for Spring 2025 Couture
PARIS — A number of ladylike beauty looks paraded down the catwalks for spring 2025 couture.
On some runways, such as for Tamara Ralph, Elie Saab and Germanier, these included bouffant coifs. Prevelant in the ’50s and ’60s, such styles could appear passé, but not at all. The retro style seemed very much of the moment.

At Stéphane Rolland, hair was fashioned into sculptural, larger-than-life creations, while at Ashi Studio it was gathered into an elegant twist.
For Giambattista Valli, tresses were slicked into undulating shapes around models’ faces. At Viktor & Rolf the front of coifs was short, while at the back of models’ heads it was longer and looped under.
The makeup paired with such hairstyles was elegant.
“The inspiration for the look was very much influenced not just by the textures and colors seen throughout Tamara’s collection, or even the references to 1960s silhouettes, but also by the duplexity seen in each one of Tamara’s designs,” said Andrew Denton, lead makeup artist at the Tamara Ralph show. “The collection evokes an essence of feminine duality — bold, alluring, yet delicate and genteel — and I wanted to play into that idea when designing the look for Tamara’s show this season.
“I also wanted the makeup to be reflective of the themes of the collection with the look being a harmonious addition to the overall feeling of the show,” he continued. “The ultra-feminine cheek in contrast to the statement black eyeliner hit the right note both visually and symbolically.”
Boldly colored lips in red drew attention at Chanel.
