Throughout her years in the public eye, Lady Gaga has donned a number of head-turning looks—remember the meat dress?! 2025, however, has taken the singer in a new direction and now, she's channelling 'normcore' with a hair look so classic, it has her looking unrecognizable.
Earlier today, January 28, ELLE UK debuted its latest print issue, featuring Gaga as the cover star. For this, the "Poker Face" singer underwent a major hair switch-up and is shown to be sporting dark brunette waves topped with a bluntly cut fringe. Hairstylist Akki Shirakawa was the creative genius behind Gaga's new 'do, which you can bask in the glory of below.
However, before you take to the kitchen scissors to DIY a style like Gaga's at home, we must speculate that she is probably wearing a wig. After all, this is Lady Gaga, Queen of the everyday transformation!
That said, it's not just the hair that contributes towards her looking so different. Enter: The makeup. For the shoot, MUA Frankie Boyd opted to create a porcelain-like base with minimal eyeshadow and a natural rosy lip. Of course, Frankie used Gaga's very own makeup brand, Haus Labs—which, FYI, is totally Cosmo-approved!
I never thought I'd be associating Gaga with pared-back beauty, but here we are! Minimalism looks good on you, girl.
