Lady Gaga Contrasts Her Jet Black Dye Job With Dreamy, Coquettish Florals

Lady Gaga knows the art of a good juxtaposition, and her latest look is proof. On August 27, the pop star's Little Monsters were treated to a brand new selfie that featured her recently dyed jet black hair with an interesting outfit to contrast it.

In the Instagram photo, Gaga posed against a picturesque backdrop consisting of bright green grass, a cloudless blue sky, and sparkling water across the horizon. In the foreground of the photo, Gaga flashed a Mona Lisa smile with her black hair and bleached blonde eyebrows on display, and wore a white ensemble with coquettish blue and pink florals.

For added visual interest, Gaga paired the sweet look with a statement piece of jewelry by Egyptian jewelry designer Azza Fahmy. The floral theme continued through the necklace—named the Lotus Pectoral collar—as it featured the lotus flower in a bouquet with blooms, buds, lily pads, and rosettes.

“The Lotus Pectoral collar brings the story of the Egyptians’ relationship with the lotus flower to life. The piece combines the Egyptian's love for symmetry with narrative design elements,” the brand said in a statement from the brand. “The central flower is framed by ehker signs, the ancient Egyptian word for adornment. The necklace also reflects the vibrant ceiling patterns of Luxor’s Theban monuments.”

Fans loved the look, and gave it no notes. "That hair screams Seattle rain, but here you are serving Malibu sun," one user wrote. "I love Lady Gaga. I think she’s a really interesting artist." Another fan commented, "Is that LG7 I see?" wondering if the floral motifs have a tie in to Gaga's next album—only time will tell.
