Kyle Sandilands shocks Jackie O with sweet baby surprise

Kyle Sandilands shocked Jackie ‘O’ Henderson on Thursday when he asked his co-host to be the godmother of his unborn baby.

In a sweet off-air moment shared to the show’s Instagram account, Kyle led Jackie into the studio, where giant balloons spelt out ‘Otto’, the name of Kyle’s unborn son, and a screen that asked: ‘Will you be my godmother?’

The stunned radio host immediately clapped her hands over her mouth in surprise, and hugged both Kyle and his fiancée, Tegan Kynaston.

Kyle lost patience with the pair’s drawn out hug, and quipped: “You gotta ask. You can’t just make out, guys.”

As Tegan handed Jackie a large bouquet of flowers, the couple asked her to become Otto’s godmother and Jackie was overcome with emotion.

“Oh, yes I will,” she answered.

Kyle then presented Jackie with quite a sentimental gift, a diamond ring with Otto’s initial, ‘O’ in morse code.

The Masked Singer judge took to social media to thank the couple for choosing her, writing: "I’m so honoured and I can’t wait to meet Otto who I will spoil with so much love (and kick ass presents) for the rest of my life.

"Tegan, I love and adore you, you’re such an angel and so perfect for Kyle. You guys are going to make the best parents," she finished.

This comes after the radio host announced on the show that he’d already splashed out on an extravagant gift for his unborn son.

“I've bought a few bed crowns,” he shared. “I've got three to decide from.”

Kyle explained that he wanted a bed crown because it’s something “that every royal family has”, leaving Jackie confused and admitting she doesn’t know what it is.

“It's a half-circle carved gold gilded crown that sits on the roof and curtains fall down from it to go over the baby’s crib,” he detailed.

“Oh yeah, that could like alright,” Jackie remarked, to which Kyle replied, “Better than some plastic thing that sings lullabies floating around over the baby’s face. None of that rubbish”.
