If you’re anything like us, you love discovering the next big thing at Kmart. Aussie TikToker @claudiashops, a trusted source for all things discount shopping, has just revealed her latest favourite find, and it’s got everyone grabbing their car keys and rushing to the store.

What’s the buzz all about? A stone bathmat!

Yes, you read that correctly. In case you missed it, stone bathmats are actually one of the hottest design trends for 2024, offering a fresh alternative to the usual plush, shag, terry, tufted, and even wooden options. With many of these stone bathmats costing upwards of $50, it’s no wonder Claudia’s $15 find has caused such a stir.

If you're sick of having a drenched piece of fabric taking up space on your bathroom floor, or having to hang it up somewhere for it to dry, this fast-drying, chic find may just be for you.

Claudia, who regularly shares her Kmart treasures on TikTok, couldn’t contain her excitement about this unique bathmat. It even comes with a little sander to maintain its texture and ensure it stays in top shape. In her video, Claudia showed off the bathmat and gave her honest review.

“OK, so here it is,” she began, “I’m going to have a shower, I’ll let you know if it holds my weight for one, and how it dries!”

And the results? Pretty impressive.

“So far so good, I want to see how quick it dries. It’s already drying in front of my eyes,” she exclaimed, fresh out of the shower.

The stone bathmat not only looks stylish but also boasts some practical benefits. Claudia admitted she was initially sceptical, thinking it might not hold up under adult weight. However, she soon discovered it was incredibly sturdy.

“I honestly felt like I would step on it and I would fall through it, but it doesn’t feel like that at all. I really like it and it’s drying so fast. And I just think it looks good. Run to Kmart,” she urged her viewers.

Naturally, social media users had plenty to say about this latest Kmart goodie.

One commenter exclaimed, "I need this," while another marvelled: "So you don't need to hang up the bath mat?? Genius!"

Some parents chimed in, curious about how it would hold up with kids.

"I need someone to toddler test it," one person wrote. "My son floods my bathroom at bath time, so I'm wondering if it's worth the switch."

Claudia mentioned that she likely wouldn’t use it around kids or inside the shower recess because it might slip and cause a hassle.

Questions about the bathmat's practicality poured in from curious shoppers. One person wanted to know if it actually dries feet effectively like a regular mat, prompting Claudia to confirm, “It does! I wondered if it would eventually dry my feet out though.”

Comfort was another hot topic. A user asked if the bathmat feels cold underfoot, to which Claudia responded, “Nope, I am in Queensland though, and I was sweating.”

Additionally, shoppers were eager to understand how the mat performs on different surfaces.

One follower queried, “Is it good on tile? I find I can’t do some mats because I have tile and end up sliding over the bathroom by stepping on it.” Claudia addressed this concern by noting, “I have pretty slippery tiles. It comes with a grip on the bottom. Without the grip, it would probably slide everywhere.”

While the stone bathmat might not be everyone's cup of tea, especially with young kids or super slippery tiles, Claudia's $15 find proves that style can come at an affordable price.
