Kmart shoppers have taken to Facebook to commend a cheap hack that has ensured better privacy in their homes, for a low cost of only $10.

In a Kmart home decors and hacks group, one shopper shared that the store is stocking a removable frosted window film, calling in the 'best $10' they've ever spent. "Now people can’t see right through my house," they said, showing off the photos of the clever and affordable hack which only took them 20 minutes to put on.

Other fans commended the effort and offered their own handy tips and advice. "Looking at this product. How easy was it to apply? Any issues with air bubbles? one person asked. "Just need a plastic scraper and a Stanley knife and a spray bottle. It’s not perfect as it was the first time applying it but it does the job," the creator shared.

"I did the same in my rental! The bottom 2 panels had this on it, but the top two didn't - everyone could see right up the centre of our house! Far too creepy for my liking, I like my privacy," someone else shared.

"And if you ever need to remove these products, use a hair dryer," one person shared.

Others recommended a frost spray from Bunnings also does the job well if you're looking for some added privacy on your doors.

"You can also buy a frost spray from Bunnings! Does the same thing. I used it on my doors," one person shared. "I did my windows with the tinting stuff from Bunnings .. omg my hubby and I nearly divorced over it," another joked.

However people did say the Kmart product was much easier to use than the Bunnings spray. "I used this on my dressing room window. Now I can leave the curtains open and dress in natural light!" one person shared. "Much easier to apply than previous stuff I've bought from Bunnings."
