Kmart shoppers are loving this 'perfect' $20 gadget: 'Best buy ever'

Kmart fans are going wild over a $20 item that will up your protein game in an easy six minutes so you too can work on your winter gains ahead of the summer shred. Gone are the days of boiling water and trying to figure out how many minutes exactly you need to boil your eggs for and then promptly forgetting about them anyway until you've overcooked them and realise the pot is burning because Kmart's aptly titled Egg Cooker is here to save the day (and the bottom of your saucepans).

The handy gadget cooks up to six eggs in six minutes and has settings for soft, medium, or hard-boiled eggs and Kmart fans in a dedicated Facebook group are raving about the $20 gadget. "Run, don't walk, run, game changer," one person posted, with many flocking to the comments to agree.

"Had it for years. Absolute BEST buy ever," one long-term fan said.

Of course, a couple of people were quick to joke about just using a simple pot of water to cook eggs, but others were hellbent on the fact that the gadget is 100% worth it, as it uses less water, takes less time, and has a loud timer you won't be forgetting any time soon.

"I'm the ditzy one that puts a pot of eggs on and gets distracted then forgets about them. The amount of times I've only remembered because I smell it burning dry," one person explained. "This gadget is so worth the money. I use it all of the time. No way to forget about it with the noise it makes when it's finished lol!"

"It’s so perfect, hey," another person agreed. "It tells you how much water to put in for how many eggs and how you want them cooked. Set and forget. Timer goes off when it’s done," another explained.

"Not a big fan of having lots of single-use appliances, but baby, do I love it. Used to boil eggs in pot and they would bounce and one or two would crack and ooze out. Love boiled eggs for snacks, breakfast or salads but would not make it often because of the above-mentioned annoyance and time consuming. Now I make them all the time. Best buy ever."
