Kmart shoppers have been left very excited over their $15 Microwave Toastie Maker after sharing a post on Instagram with a dessert toastie recipe. The Morphy Richards Mico Toastie retails for around $50 online.

"Have you seen our new $15 Microwave Toastie Maker? 👀 Perfect for warm toasties on the go! Available in 4 colours, shop online, in store or via our app now 🥪," they wrote alongside a video of a peanut butter, banana and apple toastie, which they served with ice cream.

The Microwave Toastie Maker is sold in numerous colours, including pink, blue, and green, and claims to "make crispy toasted sandwiches in the microwave in minutes at home or on the go." It's BPA-free, has non-stick-coated plates for easy cleaning, and is also dishwasher-safe.

A warning on the Kmart website adds, "Recommended for microwaves 1000W or less. Maximum use time is 3 minutes for single use. Do not use it without food."

"I was waiting for the day Kmart got these! There’s a company selling them [for] $50," one Instagram user commented on the post, with another responding, "I have the $50 [one] and I've had it about 18 months and I love it but I think I'll definitely get a Kmart one."

"I bought one. Then the next day went and bought a second one," a third said. "I've told all my family about them too. The kids love it and it's MUCH easier to clean than a waffle maker, and faster than making a toastie in a pan."

Someone else added, "As a coeliac, it's not easy to enjoy a toastie at work, this might be a game changer to avoid cross-contamination."

"It says just landed and then sold out already 😳," one surprised fan said.

"I’ve wanted one of these for yeaarrrssss. Yayyyy!!!" an excited Kmart shopper wrote.

"Love it. It works amazing," yet another said.

"Putting an aluminium plate in the microwave doesn’t sound like a good idea... 🤔," one unconvinced Instagram user said, but another responded, "You can if it’s not pure aluminium. It’s wrapped up so the aluminium doesn’t have direct contact with the microwave."
