Kmart laundry hamper hack creates 'beautiful' coffee table
A woman’s ‘beautiful’ coffee table creation has stunned Kmart shoppers online after she completely transformed a simple laundry hamper for her home.
Pauline shared her idea in a popular Kmart Hacks group on Facebook, explaining how she used the department store’s open weave laundry hamper, took out the removable liner, and added the $8 wooden serving platter on top.
“They are such nice good quality cane baskets it is a shame to just put laundry in them,” Pauline tells Yahoo Lifestyle, adding the wooden board “does fit snug”.

Pauline’s post quickly attracted hundreds of comments from impressed shoppers, calling the coffee table ‘beautiful’ and ‘clever’.
“This is such a great hack,” one person said.
It comes after another savvy Kmart shopper came up with a simple trick to turn her lounge armrest into an ‘instant coffee table’.
Also taking to a Kmart hacks Facebook group in July, the woman revealed she had slightly modified the store’s Wood Wide Serve Stand - generally used as a serving tray - and placed it over the armrest of her couch so she could have her cup of coffee directly next to her.
“$10 serving board from Kmart, re-drill the base to fit the arm of your couch and presto! A sturdy and stylish coffee holder,” she explained.
Fellow shoppers were quick to praise the hack.
“Love it. Stealing this idea, thank you,” one person commented.
