Kmart shoppers 'confused' by bizarre chopping board 'warning'

A wooden ‘chopping’ board has gone viral after a Kmart shopper shared a photo of the rather confusing label online.

“There's something wrong here. About this wood chopping board,” the woman wrote alongside the image shared to a popular Kmart hacks group on Facebook. Can you spot it?

The post quickly amassed hundreds of comments from equally confused shoppers.

“The non chopping chopping board?” one person asked.

“Ok, so if it’s not a chopping board what is it?” was another very valid question.

Something a third person also wanted to know: “So what are you supposed to use it for then???”

A Kmart spokesperson told Yahoo Lifestyle this particular product was not sold at Kmart.

Instead it appears to be from UK furniture retailer Dunelm, listed as the manufacturer on the label, though the post still sparked some hilarious responses from Kmart fans.

“It’s 2020 what else do we expect!?” one person quipped.

Others thought it made total sense.

“Must be one of those chopping boards that are just supposed to be for serving food rather than being used for meal prep,” was another comment.

Given the post was shared in a hack group, there were also many who wondered whether the board could yet be ‘saved’.

“Can someone hack this to make a chopping board?” one person asked.

While another thought the store simply provided the board for that exact purpose.

“Perhaps they just *knew* that people would only be buying it to hack as a grazing platter; bedside table topper; finger paint palette; tray for the pet food to go on etc etc.”
