Khloé Kardashian Defends Babyface After 'Disrespectful' Grammys Interview: ‘Gross Behavior’

After witnessing an awkward encounter at the Grammys, Khloé Kardashian has spoken out on behalf of music producer Babyface.

In a clip from a viral Associated Press interview shared to X on Sunday, Feb. 2, Babyface was speaking to two reporters when Chappell Roan walked by—prompting one of the reporters to cut him off, calling out to the "Good Luck Babe" singer.

"This is so disrespectful how Babyface was treated in this interview," Kardashian wrote in her caption of the clip.

"Babyface has had such a significant impact on the music industry, in sooo many ways," she continued. "Its [sic] maddening to see a LEGEND not get the respect and attention they deserve. He is a pioneer and deserves so much better than this. With decades of groundbreaking work as a songwriter, producer, and performer, he's shaped the sound of multiple generations. I love you @babyface."

Kardashian went on to say that she's a "forever fan and thankful for all that you have blessed us with."

"By the way- what a class act you are PS big or small, old or new, - you don't treat people like this," she added. "At least not in my eyes. There's a way to handle this and this was wrong in my opinion."

"Gross behavior," wrote one person.

"Legendary Babyface deserves reverence, gratitude and timeless admiration," a second chimed in, with someone else saying the interviewers had "just absolutely zero professionalism or even basic manners."

"I agree but he handled it with dignity. He bounced," another X user pointed out.

The reporter who ended the Babyface interview did apologize later during the AP livestream, as E! News reported.

“I’m really sorry about interrupting Babyface earlier,” Leslie Ambriz said, addressing viewers. “Chappell Roan had come up and there was a lot of commotion, as there is on these carpets, but I’m a big Babyface fan and so I just wanted to say that I really apologize.”
