Mikey Madison Goes Backless in Alluring Red Simone Rocha Dress for the 2025 London Critics’ Circle Film Awards
Mikey Madison hit the red carpet at the London Critics’ Circle Film Awards on Sunday in London. The “Anora” actress, who picked up an Oscar nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role, received the Breakthrough Performance award at the ceremony.
Madison opted for an alluring red dress courtesy of Simone Rocha’s spring 2025 ready-to-wear collection. The draped dress featured a shift silhouette with a thigh-high slit. The sleeveless look also incorporated ornate detailing at the halter neckline, crafting a layered effect.

Madison’s makeup featured a bold brow, lined eyes and a neutral glossy lip provided by Kenneth Soh. Her hair was coiffed into a tight chignon with a sleek design to omit any fly-aways by hairstylist Dayaruci. Madison’s look was curated by stylist Jamie Mizrahi, who also collaborates with Jennifer Lawrence and Riley Keough, among others.
Madison’s London Critics’ Circle Film Awards made its runway debut during London Fashion Week in September 2024. The collection was described by WWD’s Hikmat Mohammed as “pivotal” for the designer, “who deflated her signature billowing silhouettes, swapping them for soft, sometimes shiny layers of fabric and knits in a palette that ranged from muted pink to blood red and black — just like those strange, rare swans.”
“When I’m designing, I can end up finding security in the cloth and going into extreme volumes and proportions. Now I’ve been thinking, ‘What is underneath? If you crack that open, what’s inside?’” said Rocha, who described this collection as “a bit more intimate, interesting, and playful.”
Madison has been promoting “Anora,” in which she stars as the titular sex worker who marries the son of a Russian oligarch, for the last several months. The role is a breakout moment for the 25-year-old star, who spoke with WWD about navigating Hollywood in this newfound chapter of her career.
“I’ve been grateful for every [acting] job I’ve had, but I’ve also learned that it’s an emotional job, and I really would like to have that emotional, deep connection and love for the story and the script that I’m playing,” Madison told WWD last January. “I have to feel that draw to be like, ‘I have to do this. I have to be the one to play this character.’ Or else I think it’s a sign that maybe it’s not the right next job for me.”
