Kersti Bryan Says It 'Was Truly Heaven' to Work with 'Extraordinary' Phoebe Dynevor: She's 'So Down to Earth' (Exclusive)

Kersti Bryan is singing her praise for Phoebe Dynevor.

The duo star together in Inheritance, a soon-to-be-released film that follows a young woman who finds herself involved in an international conspiracy after she learns that her father is a spy.

Getting to work with the Bridgerton alum, Bryan told PEOPLE exclusively while attending the film's New York City premiere at the Crosby Street Hotel on Jan. 16, was "fabulous."

"I met her at a table read, and, quite frankly, she’s such an adventurous person to be able to work with in this way. I mean, you’re going to see it in the performance — she’s extraordinary," Bryan continued.

"When I met her, it was truly heaven," she added of her costar.

Before working together, Bryan watched Dynevor, 29, on her popular Netflix series, in which she stars as Daphne Bridgerton.

Despite Dynevor portraying a Duchess on Bridgerton, Bryan told PEOPLE that the star did not put on a regal act for their latest project. "I think what you’re going to see in this performance is her extraordinary range. She’s just going to break out of all of your expectations," Bryan explained.

Outside of work, Bryan said she and Dynevor got to spend bonding time together. "Phoebe is so down to earth," she said. "We just went for coffee, and it was like having a friend."

"She’s got a long history — her mom’s an actress — so being actors together is just awesome," Bryan added.

Inheritance will be released in theaters on Jan. 24.
