On Thursday, Jan. 16, the 56-year-old country artist announced his new Sin City residency at the Las Vegas Sphere, which will kick off in May.
"I’m always looking for ways to deepen the way No Shoes Nation experiences this music," the country crooner said in a statement posted to his official website. "Over the years, they have shown me through their own response to these songs how passionate they are about what they mean, how these songs are part of their lives."
"When people give you that much heart, I want to give them even more," he added.
According to Chesney, from the moment he started thinking about the possibility of playing Sphere, he was "all in."
"Just the idea of 4D technology and the impossibly dialed in sound raises the experience for No Shoes Nation, literally immersing them in music, visuals, sound and being together," he said. "To me, this is going to be a whole new way of rocking the fans, and I can’t wait."
But while Chesney was clearly excited to share the news, there was no topping the enthusiasm that fans are already feeling.
"This is one of the best things that has ever happened to me 🫶🏻" one fan wrote under Chesney's announcement post on Instagram.
VEGAS IS GOING TO BE EPIC!!!!" another hyped-up fan commented, while someone else gushed, "FINALLLLLYYYYY!!! See you there!!!!"
The limited run in Vegas includes over 10 dates between Thursday, May 22 and Saturday, June 24. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, Jan. 31 beginning at 10 a.m. PT.
