Yahoo Lifestyle Kate Middleton Isn't Wearing Her Engagement Ring and Everyone Noticed
Kate Middleton made a poignant trip to the Royal Marsden Hospital earlier this week (where received preventative chemotherapy after her cancer diagnosis), marking her first royal engagement of the year.
Pretty much every second of Kate's visit was analyzed, and fans just noticed that she wasn't wearing her iconic diamond and sapphire engagement ring. But real quick before you start side-eyeing, Kate was wearing a stack of other rings (including her gold wedding ring and an eternity band Prince William gave her last summer).
So, why did she ditch her engagement ring? Unclear, but this isn't the first time she's been out without it. Back in October of last year, Ella Citron-Thompkins of Diamonds Factory told the Express that "The Princess of Wales may have chosen to wear the eternity brands to represent her relationship with Prince William surpassing several major milestones—like anniversaries or births—or as a show of love and commitment."
She also speculated that "It could simply be that it is being cleaned or resized, and Princess Kate has used the eternity rings in its place to help disperse any rumors."
Meanwhile, back in May, Town & Country reported that "when engaging with medical staff or visiting hospitals, like the Evelina London Children’s Hospital, Kate also removes her ring to avoid it being a health and safety or hygiene hazard."
In other words...absolutely nothing to read into at this time!
