Justin Theroux's Gorgeous Rescue Pit Bull Stole Hearts on 'The Today Show'
Actor and director Justin Theroux was just in Venice, Italy promoting his new movie Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice but back in the states he made time to stop by The Today Show to discuss the new movie which also stars Winona Ryder and Michael Keaton.
Best of all? Theroux brought with his beautiful rescue Pit Bull named 'Kuma' who appeared to quickly charm everyone on the talk show set. She's just the most beautiful velvet hippo ever!
One person commented what I think may be one of the best ideas ever with "Can we just make it so every celebrity who appears on TV brings their dog with on interviews?" I totally agree with that, more dogs, all the time. Someone else added, "Kuma is absolutely beautiful and obviously well-loved. I’d have her up in her own chair - or better yet everyone on a couch rather than chairs so Kuma could be comfy!" Awwww!

Someone else added, "Thank you Justin for rescuing and giving love to your beautiful Pittie girl. He has had her forever. Pitties are one of the top breeds in shelters. Ugh. They are just such special babies. Kuma is a stunner!"
It's always so wonderful when famous people use their platforms to spread the word about dog adoption, and Theroux is such a wonderful advocate for rescuing shelter pups. The way he talks about his dog is just so special and touching.
All About Kuma Theroux
Theroux adopted his gorgeous Kuma in 2018 and has always posted adorably gushing comments about what she means to him. In a 'Gotcha' day post the actor and director wrote, "I know you can't read Kuma, but thank you for being so open, making me laugh, sleeping in later than me, going everywhere by my side, reminding me to stay in the present, to let things roll off me, to have gratitude and joy for everything, even just waking up.Reminding me to be playful. For showing patience. For not judging anyone, (except skateboards that you judge harshly). For showing kindness first, to literally everyone you meet. For being an exceptional (but not uncommon) Pitbull ambassador. For helping save other Pittbulls like yourself by letting me tell people your story… For being loyal. For being my gray shadow… And above all, for guarding the bathroom door literally every time i take a piss like my life depended on it."
People Magazine reported in 2023 that "Theroux has long advocated for rescuing animals, having worked with rescue groups like Austin Pets Alive! before welcoming a pet of his own. He shared in 2018 that Kuma was found in the debris of Hurricane Harvey in Texas and that he heard about her story through his advocacy work."
These two are so lucky to have found each other and it's so wonderful that Theroux is a huge champion for rescue pets. If you'd like to follow Kuma on her Instagram adventures, you can do so here.
