Sarah Jessica Parker Issues a Direct Message to Thief Who Burglarized Her Home

From toilet paper in trees to smashed jack-o-lanterns, Halloween has always been a time when vandals and mischief-makers have free rein—just ask Sarah Jessica Parker.

The Sex and the City star's elaborate holiday display on the doorstep of her NYC home was the target of thieves this week, leaving the actress no other choice but to send a disapproving message.

In photos snapped by the Daily Mail on Monday, the stoops of Parker's two interconnected West Village brownstones were covered in an abundance of magenta and gold-painted pumpkins and squash—but in pics of the same stairs on Halloween night, the glittery gourds were gone. In their place were just a few candles and a single jack-o'-lantern.

Taped to the front door were two signs reading "Shame on pumpkin thieves!!!" What appeared to be a surveillance footage grab was also stuck on one of the doors.

Unfortunately, this isn't the first time Parker has dealt with pumpkin theft in her neighborhood.

The 59-year-old posted a video of her empty stoop to Instagram five years ago after a number of pumpkins picked in the Berkshires and brought home to Manhattan were nabbed.

"All of our pumpkins were stolen, as were all the other pumpkins on our block," she said in the clip.

"It is officially the Halloween heist of 2019. My husband stated, ‘Decency is dead.’ But we will salvage the intended carving. We will find last-minute pumpkins and we will hope this case does not remain cold."
